Flat water with lemon helps weight loss

lemon in water Ok, let me start with a simple but very useful weight loss advice. I call it flat water with lemon and I am almost sure that you heard about lemon and weight loss. As we all know a human being needs to drink somewhere between one and six liters of liquids, daily. So, it is very important that we chose to drink healthy fluids because. By doing so we can help our body to refresh, hydrate and cool down in the same time, without adding to many calories. This is why I recommend water with lemon for weight loss.

One of the best and widely known drink is flat water with lemon. Yes, you heard it right, a healthy drink that lies just under your nose, but you prefer to drink Coke or Pepsi or some other junk stuff, right? Well if you answer with a Yes, this article will help you to change your mind or at least to give the flat water with lemon (or water-lemon) a chance. For those with the No answer, I have some congratulations to send.

Now I have another FAQ question for you.
Why should I drink flat water and lemon?
First of all because it is natural. And as we all know natural things are the best for our organism. Second of all, it results in a refreshing combination for our body. And third but of course not least, because it helps us to keep control of our weight balance. For those that have a weight loss target, it adds to your weight loss program very nicely.
The water-lemon combination has no calories compared with the other widely known refreshing drinks found on the market. Another advantage is that you can prepare it yourself very fast. The cost of this drink, is in general, at least twice cheaper as a drink bought from the store.
There we have the perfect combination a drink which is cheaper but in the same time healthier! Isn’t that great? :)

Does it really help with the weight loss issue?
From my point of view the answer is, Yes.
There are several opinions, some say that it does not affect the weight loss subject. But I say that it helps. I don’t know how much, but just imagine that you drink fluids daily. You replace a drink with calories with water-lemon that has no or very little calories. The daily influence is indeed minor, but imagine that you do it for 365 days a year. I am sure that it has a long term effect and helps people that want to lose weight. You should be 100% sure that it’s more healthy, as the most drinks offered in the stores, world wide. Believe me that you will do a great deal, if you quit your daily Coke for flat water with lemon.

How to prepare it?
This is so easy.
First get a glass of flat water and after that cut some slices of lemon an add them to the drink. It’s as easy as saying one, two, three. I prefer the water a little bit cold, preferably from the fridge. You have to test it, because we all have different preferences.
There are also different possibilities, by using mineral or tap water. I prefer flat water, because the tap water might not be that good, depends on your location. Mineral water creates the balloon effect in my stomach.

More about water
Our body is built 70% out of water. The amount of liquids needed by our organism depends on different factors like: temperature, humidity, how active we are and others. Humans need daily minimum 8 to 10 glasses of fluids, that’s about two liters. 20% of the daily water is obtained from foods and the rest from the actual drinking process. We eliminate water mostly through urine and sweating.
People that practice physical activities like playing a sport will drink more water because the dehydration trough the sweat process is faster. Our body is sweating when he needs to cool down. This process is a very important one for the people that target to lose weight. If you manage to sweat daily after a physical exercise you are on the right path in your weight loss program, but this is another subject that will be discussed in a later article.

    Bull’s eye! I say from my experience that it does help lose weight, apart from other benefits such as the intake of vitamin C, great for gums, skin, flu prevention and general detox.

    The average daily intake of fluid for a human is between 1 and 2 litres, not 1 and 6. Anymore and you could alter the osmotic potential of the cells in the body and this could be fatal by literally drowning yourself.

    Ihave started on a diet of lemon effective the beggining of November but believe me it really works and i will give my finel comment by the end of the year (2009)i am also recomending it to my club members ( Linda country walkers and runners club)

    Thanks for the comments, I started on Jan 2nd, 09, with warm water and one lemon juice before every meal I let you in about 6 months.

    alright, you’re saying a person ought to drink ONLY 4- 8 cups of water a day? that doesn’t seem right, especially on the low end. 8 cups, i can manage, but i often have to hit 10-12, or else i’m thirsty, especially if i’m exercising. moreover, you will not drown yourself in this amount, unless 1) you’re getting no sodium, 2) you drink a gallon of water within a very short time, and force yourself to do this.

    I just started drinking water with lemons a week ago and so far it controls my appetite. I’m trying to lose the baby weight. So i will get back to you in about six months to see if it works.

    4 everyones info the cold water with lemons no sugar added does work my husband began drinking it and he weighter 235pounds now on 6.28.09 he weight 215pounds

    Hi. Very interesting. I did the Master Cleanse for 25 days because I was trying to loose weight. I lost 20 lbs. Usually you do it for 10-14 days to detox and looses around 10 to 20 lbs. The Master Cleanse is a mix of lemon juice, cayenne pepper and grade B organic maple syrup. It is a really nutritious way to cleanse… also I took a daily tea to move bowels (that was not pleasant). I loved the drink for quite a while until I got so bored with it but I had such nice results I hated to stop the detox. My skin was so clean, I had plenty of energy, I got rid of all allergies, it was amazing, I didn’t have cravings, when I felt hungry I took a couple of swigs of the drink and I was fine. I drank it all day long, and the drink was my constant companion. I stopped because I got bored and I wasn’t loosing weight fast enough, I usually lost about a lb. a day, had a couple of plateaus that frustrated me. I wanted to try to loose all my excess weight but I had to stop. After I got off the detox, I stayed vegan for a while and still craved lemons so much I still drink lemon water all day long. It helps with cravings, helps me to stay on track with eating properly. When I went off lemon water for a while, I started eating wrong foods again and put on weight fast… I am back on my lemon water and it is addicting and helps me stay on track. I know I am doing a good thing for my body. I think it is a gift from God for our health and enjoyment! Take care.     I just want to say one more thing. I drink the juice of one or two lemons with plain water in a 24 oz bottle and drink extra water on the side also. It is delicious. Just a lemon wedge is not the same at all. The antioxidants in lemons are so powerful and healing to our bodies. Check it out. :-)
    Also, Luisa, you inspire me. I want to loose this extra weight so much. I will stick to my lemon water!

    Hey, thanks for the info! Have just started drinking this lemon water. I am trying to lose weight, but also heard that it helps with spots which i get on the back of my neck.
